Open to the Public: The ReStore is a home improvement store and donation center selling new and gently used furniture, appliances, home goods, building materials, and more! The ReStore accepts donations and sells a constantly changing inventory of diverse, high-quality merchandise to the public at a fraction of the retail price.
All sales go toward Habitat for Humanity: Sales of donated items help Habitat for Humanity of Washington County partner with local families to build, rehabilitate and repair safe and affordable homes in our community and around the world — a good deal for you, your community, and the environment. Together, we can help families achieve the strength, stability and self-reliance they need to build a better future while creating stronger neighborhoods.
Volunteer
We are looking for both experienced volunteers and those who want to learn new skills while giving back to the community. We know your time is valuable and appreciate all who come out to help at the ReStore. Often you will be working side-by-side with our future homeowners!
Community Service Hours: We accept volunteers that need to do school, work, benefits, and court-ordered. ReStore volunteers assist customers, move furniture, load and unload donations, store maintenance, and create displays on the sales floor. We also offer recommendation letters for students that volunteer in our ReStore 40 hours or more. Please contact ReStore management to discuss service requirements prior to registering for a volunteer shift.
Your skills are needed for: customer service, sorting donations, store merchandising and layout, and testing items. Volunteers must be at least 16 and 17 years of age to volunteer with parental/guardian permission.
Donate
Reduce Landfill Waste: The ReStore accepts new and gently-used donations to assist with diverting reusable household items and building materials from area landfills. It also allows community members to repair or renovate their homes at a reduced cost. This means that the store benefits the community at-large, the environment, and individual community members.
Tax-Deductible: Your ReStore donation is tax deductible!
Here’s how to do it:
  • Keep track of your donated items. You’ll use this to report your itemized donations to the IRS when you file your taxes.
  • When you bring your donation to our store, ask for a receipt for your donation if one isn’t offered to you. The IRS requires proof that you donated the items you itemized.
Commercial Donors: Our ReStore depends on your donations. If you have overstock inventory, used items or just need to clear out your warehouse, please consider us. Your donations will be sold locally and help residents improve their current homes with affordable, high-quality materials. There are multiple benefits for the business, such as clearing out unwanted and excessive inventory from your warehouse and in some circumstances, they can also claim a tax deduction.
