Through service-oriented cycling trips, Bike & Build benefits affordable housing and empowers young adults for a lifetime of service and civic engagement.
Each year an extraordinary group rides through Fayetteville, AR on their journey from the east coast to the west coast ... they stop not only to rest and enjoy all that NWA has to offer, but also to lend a hand. This year's group worked on multiple projects with our construction team. In addition to cycling over 4,000 miles, stoping in 15-20 cities to help organizations working to put an end to substandard housing, these future leaders raise funds for organizations like Habitat for Humanity and Rebuilding Together.
Habitat thanks them for their dedication and giving spirit. We look forward to hosting this group each summer.
This year the Central Route was struck by tragedy when two riders, Anne Davis and Laura Stark, were struck by a distracted driver. Sadly Anne, a recent graduate of the College of William & Mary, was killed. Laura was severely injured and is still recovering. We ask that you join our Habitat team in keeping these families and the Bike & Build community in your thoughts and prayers.
Bike & Build envisions future generations who are committed to a lifetime of civic engagement and who inspire individuals and communities to create fair, decent housing for all Americans.
