Jose (Pepe) Estrada joined the Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors in 2014. He actively gives in many ways to the Northwest Arkansas community.
In addition to his role as a Habitat Board Director, Pepe currently serves on the Southern Methodist University Cox School of Business Latino Leadership Initiative Advisory Board, the National Council of La Raza Corporate Advisory Board, the League of United Latin American Citizens Corporate Alliance, The Boy Scouts of America, Western Area Council Executive Committee, and the National 4-H Hispanic Advisory Committee.
Pepe earned his Ph.D. in Economics from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. He holds a M.S. in Agricultural Economics from the Universidad Nacional Agraria La Monlina in Lima, Peru and a B.S. in Economics from the Universidad de Lima, Peru.
Pepe is a Director of Corporate Affairs at Walmart. This is his second tour of duty with the company. In his role, he directs the strategic outreach and engagement strategy of the Consituent Relations department. He is also responsible for Walmart's efforts in the Hispanic and LGBT communities and he overseas Walmart's work with the American Indian community. He is a proven market-segment strategies professional with over fifteen years of experience developing and leveraging corporate relations and assisting in the implementation of enterprise diversity initiatives and reputation management strategies.
Habitat for Humanity of Washington County, AR is fortunate to have Pepe serving on our Board of Directors. We thank him for all he gives to us and the Northwest Arkansas community.
