Tatrecia’s Story

Tatrecia’s Story

Tatrecia’s journey has been one of self-discovery and determination.

In 2012, Tatrecia became a mother to her daughter, Tamara, and in 2013, her last son, Tyleon, was born. However, these joyous moments were accompanied by a period of depression, which she faced in silence. Eventually, she found solace through prayer, seeking her own spiritual connection despite her background as a preacher’s kid. Her journey to healing included prayer, exercise, and the support of a dear friend who understood her need for peace of mind.

In 2016, Tatrecia made a life-changing decision to move to NWA, seeking a house and outdoor space where her children could play safely and thrive. As a single mother, she was determined to provide her kids with the support they needed. It was during this time that she learned about the Habitat program. With unwavering determination, she attended the meetings, applied for assistance, and thanks to her persistence, she and her children now look forward to calling their new Habitat home “HOME.”
